I was a little leery about using Uship to move our new 5th across the country because another "major" shipper "warned" me that some transporters on Uship were scammers. We bought a practically new 5th wheel from a dealer in Ky but we live in CA. My husband could not take time off work to get it so we decided to check in to transportation services. A couple of large well known companies gave us estimated but then I found Uship.com. I discovered that many transporters on Uship are legitimate shippers, some just smaller companies that don't advertise like the big companies. Shipping customers should check the business license, references and validate insurance of any transporter before making a deal as you would do with any large business transaction. I found there are plenty of great transportations companies on Uship. The one I choose took credit card for payment which was very convenient. The 5th wheel was delivered quicker than we expected and we saved about $500. I would definitly look to Uship for future transportation needs.
