I found myself in the unfortunate situation of having a collection of antique car parts in Bellingham WA but my home was in Edmonton. I flew to Vancouver, rented a truck and moved the parts to a storage locker in Vancouver. I hadn't made firm plans to bring the parts back from Vancouver until a colleague who had shipped a personal watercraft earlier in the year told me about uShip. A fellow with a flat deck was looking for something to top off his load. He was offering exactly the service I required and so I accepted his bid rather quickly to ensure his services. He picked up and loaded when planned and within a day was unloading at my home in Edmonton. It was much less expensive to move the goods in this manner than my original plan which was to drive a truck to Vancouver, overnight in a hotel and return the next day with a truck full of parts. And I was able to use the saved weekend to get a head start on putting my car together. Had I known how easy it could be, I would have had the service provider pick up the parts in Bellingham and saved myself even more time and money.
