This was a last ditch effort for me as I had never shipped anything before and had exhausted my other internet ideas.
I had to ship a mattress and boxspring to my son in Washington, and I didn't want the shipping to cost more than a bed. One quote was for 425.
I found uship, and received three bids. One person wanted money up front for fuel, which didn't sound good, even if the price was 199. One would not lift anything into her truck--which is a problem as I would have had to try to do it alone and she wanted 240. The third bid was a great price (230), and in the end, it all worked out very well. David of DLOCATER got the bed there, my son is sleeping on it.
I would absolutely do this again, and now I know more about the vagaries of the shipping world.
