I needed to ship my antique iron bed from my childhood as well as a dresser up to Minnesota from Tennessee so that my daughter can use these in our new house. I could have driven these items up myself, but it would have been a big hassle since I have a 2 year old. I wasn't sure where to turn to check out companies who provide shipping services, so I called many national & local Tennessee companies. I also listed my items on USHIP (with pictures). I was not familiar with USHIP as I had actually never heard of it, but after checking out their website, I felt confident using the website. My phone calls to shipping companies were pretty much in vain. Most were priced over $1000 for such a small shipment. The one reasonable company I found required me to drive my items to a warehouse a few hours from where they were being kept as well as picking them up from a warehouse in Minnesota. With USHIP, however, I only received 1 bid on my items, which actually surprised me. I was expecting more bids. But, the bid I received was perfect for my situation since the pickup date needed to be a little flexible, which I was, and the price was great! It was hundreds of dollars cheaper than anything else that I found. The service provider was Judify, and they delivered the items to me within 24 hours, which was far shorter than what a large company making many stops along the way would have taken. My items were well taken care of and arrived in the same condition. I am very pleased with my experience, and will definitely use USHIP and Judify (the service provider) again.
