I knew this would not be an easy task and I wasn't sure I could even afford to have this item shipped. Before I purchased it, I contacted several shipping companies for estimates. They ran from $1300 to $2500. Some of them didn't have to equiment to even unload it. I had just about decided not to buy it because of the expense, but then I remembered UShip and decided to go ahead and list the statue for bids. What could it hurt? I could always put my target price and see if anyone even came close. Within a few days, I had 3 bids. Two of the bids were half the price of anything I had been quoted so far!
Bryan picked up my statue as soon as it arrived from overseas and I got it a few days later! He had everything needed to unload a 1500 lb. marble statue by himself! I will definately use UShip again.
