uShip provided me with an amazing number of bids, several for much less cost than the company I ultimately chose.
I decided to pay the premium of $425 (versus other bids of $300) to spare me and my daughter any aggravation, hassles, or additional stresses.
Although all is well that ends well, and the furniture did come through unscathed, the weekend / evening delivery arrangement we expected was not met, and the pick up and delivery were announced at the very last day before they occurred rather than days / weeks in advance.
The experience was mostly ok, but the added stress and need to find someone to come in during working hours and accept the delivery rather than my daughter in the evening or weekend as booked was an unintended and disappointing aspect of this shipment. In retrospect, I should have gone for one of the $300 bids, since the treatment here was by no means "deluxe" or first class in any way.
