I needed to purchase a replacement bumper for my pickup truck. A guy in Florida had the exact bumper I needed, but he insisted on local pickup only. I live in California, so that wasn't going to happen.
I was able to secure a transport provider who would pick up the item, pack it, and bring it to me. So armed with this ability, I purchased the item and made the arrangements with my winning transporter for pickup and delivery.
All told, I ended up paying around $260 (item and shipping) to have a finished bumper (complete and painted my color) that would have easily cost twice that amount had I bought one locally, and had it prepped/painted to match.
