My mother's 120-year-old antique secretary/ desk was in my sister's barn in Michigan. I contacted numerous trucking companies over five months and couldn't get a delivery to California without wrapping and crating. Crating prices ranged from $150 to $400 and shipping would have been $290-$900. Through U-Ship I got a bid for $180 with blanket wrap from a small niche mover in Michigan (Jim Hill--Rolling Hills)who delivers nationwide. Although the delivery was delayed by over a week due to truck engine failure in Iowa, the item was delivered without a scratch. Thanks, Jim
