I saw a unique 6 ft. carrot dresser (yes, a giant fiberglass and wood carrot) on Ebay at an amazing price...the only problem was that the dresser was in NY & I live in TX and the seller stated quite clearly that this auction was for local pickup only...no shipping. I was willing to travel to NY myself, but knew there had to be another way.
After "googling" shipping furniture quote, I discovered uShip & within a few hours, I'd received a couple of reasonable quotes. The first shipper that contacted us was the one I chose. Thought he offered a fair price for the type of item and length of trip. The shipper made contact with the Ebay seller & picked up the dresser & carefully packed it.
Once the shipper was en route, he kept in careful communication with us. He delivered in a timely fashion as promised. I couldn't more thrilled with how simple this transaction went. uShip is an excellent resource!
