I received a letter in the mail from a small bank in TN that I had inherited 5 antiques from an elder cousin of mine who had passed away. I live in TX and could not haul the items myself. The bank in charge of the estate had Allied moving as the shipper for the items, if I could not find one. The cost was going to be over $1000! After a few days of phone calls to other moving companies with no luck, I discovered uShip on the internet. I was a little apprehensive at first, but decided to give it a shot. Time was short, as the bank needed the items picked up within the next week! After I submitted my information for the items (including photos the bank had taken), within the first 24 hrs. my phone rang and an automated voice said I had a bid and for me to check my email! The bid was for $500! I was ecstatic, but still apprehensive. My potential shipper answered all my questions quickly that I sent from this site. I received one more bid that was lower, but decided to stick with the original shipper as he had a large van to haul with and had been so good with communication. After I accepted the bid, I was given my shipper's personal contact information and he and I continued to correspond. The antiques were going to my brother's house in Houston, so we had several people involved in this experience. My shipper said he could make the trip in one day and he did! He met the bank officer in charge of the estate in TN. None of the antiques had been prepared for shipping, as they were supposed to have been, by the bank. My shipper was a great sport and did the work himself (he had a partner as well), but this put him behind schedule. He still made the trip in one day and called my brother several times, as he got closer to Houston. My brother called me after the delivery and said the shipper was courteous and conscientious. He had packed the antiques very well and even took 2 of them upstairs for him! I HIGHLY recommend using the shipper SPRINTERDEL and uShip! :)
