I have owned a 1934 Plymouth PE coupe since the early 90's. the car was purchased used and not running in 1957 by a father for his son as a future high school graduation gift. Unfortunately the father passed away that very year prior to his sons graduation. The car had not been touched since 1957!! Tears ran down the now adult son's face as we unloaded the car from the trailer in front of my house. He and his wife both hugged my brother and I as we promised them both that we would restore the car some day when I had the money to do so and that I would also dedicate our efforts to his fathers memory. My brother and I cleaned the car and put it in the corner of my garge where it has sat since. Now fast forward to 2009 and the AMAZING purchase of a 1934 plymouth Pe coupe engine and trans from a gentleman in Salt Lake.
I needed the ORIGINAL numbers carb, generator, and several other parts that had been removed from my 34 prior to me acquiring it. I now had purchased the complete engine and trans for the parts that I need to get this restoration started however how do I get them to me in Seattle?? U Ship to the rescue!!! I am estatic to have a pallet DELIVERD from Salt Lake with no damage and am well on the way to restoring my matching number 34 Plymouth and more importantly I am honoring a fathers memory as promised.
Thanks to uShip I was able to get a bid for less than $300.00 to ship this priceless cargo to me and when it arrived on time and without ANY damage I was so grateful.
Yes, my brother is very involved with this "build" and I am very pleased that my oldest Daughter who was just a toddler when this car was brought home is VERY involved and extremely enthusiastic about getting started on restoring our car. My goal is to have this restoration completed by the time she graduates college in a couple of years. No, she will not receive it as a graduation gift however that's not to say that maybe a Grandson or Grandaughter won't.
Thanks uShip!!!!!
