As a professional licensed, bondedv and insured auction company that is a leader in online auction technology our firm occasionally runs into ebay type bidders who are ill informed and not very knowledgeable about real auctions.
They will bid on items and have no idea on what it will cost to ship an item. They don't read our terms and conditions and fail to contact our 3rd party shipper prior to biding for an estimate of cost.
In a recent auction our buyer bought a great Honda generator and had no idea it would cost as much to ship as his high bid.He called and I offered to resell it for him.He said he wanted it so he agreed to our storage charges while he figured out what to do.
One evening while talking on our forum to other auctioneers who are members of the National Auctioneers Association I posted requesting any ideas for the buyers situation.
Within minutes I received the U ship info from a fellow Kansas auction company. It worked out great. The buyer was happy with the ship bid we received from Jeff. The entire process waws monitored by our staff and we stayed in contact with the buyer regarding how it worked at his end.
Everything was great and Jeff was a pleasure to work with in the entire process.
Prompt delivery, professional treatment and courteous constant contact.Great first experience.
