my shipper was screwed out of a shipment from rhode island back to kansas city after he had already driven half way across the country for this one item. the small shipments like mine were just icing to cover some gas costs. the booking party was flippant and cancelled the shipment without real cause. consider how you will protect the small uship shippers from this happening, possibly requiring a larger deposit to avoid cancellations, possibly offering cancellation insurance for reimbursment of costs, or geez, i don't know you are the smart ones... protect your company by protecting the small shippers.
