My shipping experience was rather hectic. I was stuck with 2 cancellations. I don't believe either of them were "honest".
The first one canceled saying he was unable to complete the delivery as stated. What do I do? I have no choice but to sanction the cancellation; what am I to gain by arguing?
The second "cancellation" occurred 10 miles (minutes) from the pick up address. He called the the pick up number and told the agent on premises that he would be there shortly. He never appeared or called again. He e-mailed me 2 days later and told me his truck and phone and computer were stolen and he had to fly home. If so , this was unfortunate, but it is suspect particularly in view of the fact that there were 2 calls and 2 missed appointments prior to that.
Perhaps there is a better way to ensure that those who transport are made to keep their end of the bargain?
I found the U ship experience stressful due to the original cancellations, but I have to say that without U ship I would have no idea how I would have gotten my motorcycle to my home in Florida from New York.
