I needed help picking up 21 pieces of furniture that were being reconditioned and bringing them to my home. It was a relatively short haul with a relatively small amount of goods. I could have used my own pickup truck but it would have taken several round trips (at least 2-3 hours/trip). I recently "found" uShip on the internet and was not convinced it would be able to connect me to a transporter that served my particular needs. I also wasn't sure when the goods would be ready for pickup. I was able to extend my bid deadline, communicate through "questions" with various bidders, and in the end found a terrific company which performed flawlessly. I have to admit that I almost gave up because it looked like none of the bidders were able to meet my schedule (I had 1-2 days to arrange for shipping). But almost like magic, one bidder whose price was reasonable (in the middle of the bids) was able to meet my schedule! I would definitely use uShip again in a similar circumstance.
