I only had occassion to use uShip once before a couple of years ago. I was tracking an eBay listing and shipping cost from TX to PA was a major factor in my decision to purchase 2 large tractor tires. I posted a request for bids on uShip contingent on purchase of the tires and immediately got an offer; however, it was too high to justify the eBay purchase. I got a 2nd offer from FreightCenter and negotiated a price that justified purchase of the tires at the asking price. Once I won the eBay bid, the rest was a cakewalk because uShips process is straightforward and the FreightCenter that made the successful uShip bid was a super service provider.
