My wife and I are travel nurses. We live in our 5th wheel RV during our hospital assignments. We had just finished an assignment in San Jose, CA and were taking a new assignment in Burbank, CA. Another travel nurse highly recommended using uShip to find somebody to move our RV because we don't have our own truck. We took her advice and definitely did not regret it. We placed our shipment on uShip and received a bid within the first hour of it being listed. The cell phone alerts were very convenient, and I began to look forward to answering the phone for new bids. The original bid placed on our shipment was $999.00 and the final bid we accepted from powersourcetransport was $537!!! (which was almost exactly what we had budgeted for). Chris(powersourcetransport) communicated very well and was very professional; we were told exactly when our RV would be picked up and when it would arrive, with constant communication (not once did he fail to answer our phone calls). This is where our story gets interesting... Our RV was going to be set up in a resident's yard, who claimed to live on a nice ranch with a full RV hookup site. My wife and are already dreaming of the picturesque ranch with horses and plenty of space. We arrived at the site the day of delivery to find a house in a rundown subdivision with zero yard and a tiny asphalt space wedged between the house and a fence, shared by four large dogs. Chris was only 30 minutes from the destination with our RV. We scrambled and called every place in the L.A. area, hearing the redundant phrase, "We don't have any spaces left." Finally, call number 30 reported having one space left (40 miles from the original destination). We called Chris and explained our dilemma; he agreed to ship the RV to the new location without hesitation. Our home arrived to the new location safely, and Chris did not complain or ask for any additional money (we gave him extra of course). We started work the next morning (whew), thanks uShip.
