Our family relocated from Northbay California to South Carolina in August 2007 due to retiring from the military. In October, we put our info on UShip and accepted a bid with provider. Well, due to a communication flaw, the provider had to make different arrangements to haul our trailer. Then, after making arrangements, still couldn't do the haul. I told the provider to go ahead and refund our $, but my husband said we weren't in a hurry to get it and that when he could work it in another haul to do so then. Well, February came and was suppose to be the shipping time, then April, then no word. We were given a sob story about trucks broken down, health problems, then business phones no longer worked, website removed, and email disconnected. We lost our money - of course, I know where he lives!! We decided to list the shipment again and accepted a bid with CLARKSMHP. What a wonderful guy! He called me within 1 minute of my accepting his bid!!! He email'd me a copy of all his info, including his driver's license, knowing I didn't trust another provider. He picked up our trailer and told us he thought the tires could possibly give him problems during the long haul, but he would pull it and fix along the way, or put new tires on before he left. Well, he took the travel trailer and had tires put on, left when he said he would, and arrived when he said he would. He maintained contact along the way and delivered it to our house with a smile! Thank goodness I didn't have to drive back across country to get it and then drive all the way back again. I would definitely use UShip again, but would advise anyone using it to make sure and check out the provider first.
