I found a motorcycle and started working a deal with the seller. Having used uship before, I quickly posted the shipment to see what it would cost me to ship it (this would help me determine the overall cost to own the bike - it was a salvaged titled unit and I didnt want to pay too much including shipping.
Through uship I was able to quickly determine the cost to ship and was able to negotiate a total cost resulting in paying less overall for the bike.
So, I quickly sent funds as my uship provider told me he was going to be in the area in the next couple of days. The seller receives the money but I can't get a hold of the shipper. So now the seller, whom I really dont know, has my money and the shipper has gone m.i.a.for over a week.
I had already sent my deposit and was now faced with having to cancel and get another provider who could quickly get the bike and deliver it.
So I repost the shipment and within minutes a provider accepts my "match it now" bid (which I set even lower than the original bid). The new provider contacted me right away, made arrangements to get the bike, and had it to me in 2 days in perfect condition.
I contacted uship and they very quickly investigated the cancellation and refunded my deposit.
So I got the bike, paid less than I expected for the bike and the shipping, and had a terrific experience with Uship in resolving an unfortunate situation with a provider that couldn't provide.
It's easy to look good when everything goes well. It's only when things go wrong that a company's true colors come out.
I am very pleased with the professionalism and prompt attention Uship used to handle my situation.
Thanks Uship. Great job!
