I did a best offer bid on a dirtbike from California and really didnt expect them to take my low offer. To my surprise, they did! I had to scramble to get a cashiers check together and wasn't even thinking about shipping costs, ( I live in Maryland) The people at the cycle store asked how I was picking up the bike, and I told them I didn't have anyone in mind and asked them if they could recommend someone to me. They gave me 2 shippers and they both wanted over $1,100.00! Now my great deal on the price of the bike wasn't so great anymore. I went to U-Ship (as I am a registered hauler) and listed my shipment for a taret price of $500.00. I believe it was grabbed up in a matter of hours and the deal was done. I told Steve from Landlift that I was flexible with the time frame since the price was good and my son was already racing with his old bike. The bike arrived right on our scheduled day and there was no damage what so ever to the bike, as Steve is really good at what he does. If there was any negativity in the deal at all it would have to be the fact that my son crashed in a race prior to receiving the new bike and unfortunately he broke his back and left wrist, and while he was extremely lucky not to be paralized, he probably will never race again...and of course if this had happened first I would have never bought the bike, so now I have to decide what to do with it!
