I have been an on-line person since 1980 and an avid Internet user since Mosaic appeared. I use the Internet for lots of goods and services, but I never had a more positive, cost saving, high value, experience than when I went on-line to U-Ship to see if I could get a better deal for moving my restored 1975 Kawasaki 900cc motorcycle from snowy Rochester, NY to sunny Ormond Beach, FL, in the middle of winter. I put in for a fixed bid at less than half of what my Rochester motorcycle dealer was able to come up, and they required a shipping crate be custom built. I got a quote for half of that from an outfit called Summit that had 20 out of 20 positive ratings, and I took a chance with them. Best service possible! Flexible, courteous, concerned. These guys are great and would be at twice the price. To me, this demonstrates the incredible power of Internet shopping for a consumer looking for the best deal. And I saved both time and money. I will never ship anything without going on UShip for estimates and the best deal. From my exerience, you'll save money just by using their estimator service, compared to calling movers on your own, and you'll save more by allowing their bidding system to work for you, and their vendor qualifications. I figure that I saved about $600, paying $350 instead of the $950 my motorcycle dealer wanted to charge me for the 1,200 mile move. - Mike
