Here's my story. I found on Craigslist a used Crate and Barrel hutch and china cabinet for $600 (lists for $2000), but it was 265 miles from where I live. At first I thought I would rent a cargo van, drive down, pick it up, and drive back -- spending money on gas and van rental , wasting a day, and probably straining my back...not a great idea....
I googled "shippers" and found out about u-ship. That was yesterday. Today the hutch and cabinet are sitting in my apartment. A shipper based in Atlanta saw my ad, knew that he was delivering a car in Philly the next day, and could pick up my hutch and cabinet in Roanoke on the way. So he did, charged me less than what I would have paid in van rental and gas, and saved me a day (and my back).
I can't believe I was this lucky to find u-Ship. Thank you very much!
